Good ideas in here, we were still figuring out how to make records though. The religious cover certainly has put some folks off. Album was originally supposed to feature interludes similar to HIDE where we cover hymns in a spooky fashion, but it didn’t shake out. We probably could’ve swung it with more time, but we wanted to get this one out quick for reasons I can’t remember.
Influences
Might’ve subconsciously taken aspects of Welcome the Night from Elder. WHOOPS.
Had a much faster version of Eternal Casket as a demo. Was still learning about Doom when all of this was being written. Think I took a lot from Candlemass on that front.

I wish there were more than four songs. This album is an excellent intersection between Flesh of the Star's later epic works and their earlier brutal doom. I can't get enough of Welcome The Night or Sun Salute.
