Sometimes feels like the first thing I made well. Quite proud of this, the planning that went into it, the use of themes/leitmotifs, the arrangements, the more creative aspects of the production. etc. etc.

A lot of this was mapped out in advance in demos, and then given to the rest of the band. We had rehearsal sessions (often unplugged in Mattβs old Sheffield apt.). Some wonderful memories of working on this (and other flesh records) in that apartment. Furnace would be on, weβd have watched a horror movie, had a glass of wine or a cocktail. Just shooting the shit, talking about music we liked, what we could do that would be fun and different. Something fond to reflect on, especially given the general chaos involved with the rest of my life at that time.

Prog-doom awesomeness! This album is just so versatile in composition and just so modern in thematic approach and visuals! Dah-ee-tah! Every song is a different kinda gem, some of them crawls in your melancholy center and some makes you wanna hit the streets of neo-noir futuristic metropolis. Killer record!

Oh man. This. This is gorgeous, hypnotic doom that manages to hit hard when it needs to and leaves you blissfully at peace with yourself and the world.

This has to be the best doom album i've heard in years! They're right up there with Pallbearer, Confessor and similar bands but this has a very nice ambient feel to it that beforementioned bands are lacking. I can totally put this on my headphones and space out as long as the album is playing. I would love to see someβ¦
