Stage Kiss

A Tone Bender with a clean bass blend.

Bass pedals don’t get a lot of love, they tend to get the short end of the design stick, so I really wanted to try out something specific for one.

This one was designed and built for my friend Luke, and named for the stage kiss he and I would do during Arthhur performances. A normal Tone Bender circuit loses a lot of low end, so I put a splitter-blender in front of it: dry signal stays whole and the fuzz gets blended back against it. Pretty common feedforward network, and it’s very useful as a mixing technique as well (provided you get the phase right).
