Reams
Thirty six dreamers
drawing reams of multicolor thread across the sand
desert heat, a blade against their cheeks
laboring against pools of grit
backs bent as they unwind vibrant wool linen, and silk.
All humming different songs in the same key.
Blending together as a ever shifting chord.
They lunge over hills and away into the horizon
Later, the fabric shuffles in the night winds
cast over foxes, mice, and scorpions
a terrain of prismatic thatch
